I'm so glad to hear that there's conversation about this! While it's undoubtedly true that blogs are great SEO machines, and are good fits for some practices and some attorneys, the truth is that no, not every lawyer (nor every solo lawyer) "needs" a blog. With social media sites and tools, properly used, any attorney can have a (pretty much free) vibrant web presence, with or without a blog.
